Boxing Day “Ping Tatty Bogle”, at Sywell

DSC_0168

With the lead up to Christmas being so wet and wild it was touch and go as to whether the Boxing day “ping” would take place. With Christmas day being so fine and Boxing day early morning being so gloomy some crazy archers managed to crawl out of there warm beds and venture out to Sywell instead of shopping for bargains in Harrods.

The picture above shows the hardened few that managed the challenge and who was rewarded with a little sunshine, tomato and chicken soups, bread rolls  and of course the cake that wasn’t cut at the Christmas party.

Although it was very wet underfoot, conditions actually improved as the shoot went on. So a big thanks go to      Steve (T)  for showing us his cooking skills, Dave (T) for showing us how precise  he is when using a carving knife (you should have left your bow at home Dave)and everyone else for just turning up and enjoying the occasion. Oh and the winners (almost forgot) Juniors, Bailey (Bridgewater) …………..and Seniors, Mick (Lovell).. Pictures of the event are now in our Gallery section………………………….IanP.
