The committee has considered the rules for the 252 scheme and agreed that it will only be necessary to score 252 on two occasions for each distance from now on, to qualify for a badge. In addition the 15 yard badge will no longer be included in the scheme and ribbons will not be used. We have purchased a sample of the badges from Reading Archers which we will be using. The club offer a very quick turn around on orders with no minimum quantities – just a small postage charge. Some of the colours on the badges are different from those chosen for our original scheme which will be amended in due course. At Last – Shooting again outside at Sywell
Bez and Steve have been good enough to look at Sywell today and say the conditions have improved further – so yep we’re at Sywell tomorrow Saturday 19th May 12 noon onward.
Archery at Carlsberg this Tuesday, but back to Sywell on Saturday
We have visited Sywell today 14th May and are pleased to see vast improvements in the conditions. However ground around the container is still very hazardous and in parts under water. In the interests of safety it has therefore been decided – after due consultation – that Tuesdays archery will be at Carlsberg again.
Unless we have torrential rain this week – on Saturday we will be at Sywell.
Shooting Tuesday 8th May – at Carlsberg
Although there has been a slight improvement to conditions at Sywell, they are still pretty bad. In view of this shooting on Tuesday will be at Carlsberg.
NCAS 1ST CASWELL VENUE CHANGE
Due to a waterlogged ground, the venue for the 1st Caswell Shoot on 6th May has been moved from Kettering Cricket Club to Wellingborough Open Archery Clubs’s outdoor range at Wrenn School, Doddington Road, Wellingborough NN8 2JJ.
Assembly time remains the same at 9:15 am.
Weather hits shooting at Sywell again
Ground conditions at Sywell will not be any better for this Saturday 5th May. Carlsberg has said we can use the hall this Saturday 10:00-13:45 but we have to be out by 14:00 as they have a function setting up.
